KompikFiles site rules
KompikFiles is a service for uploading and sharing files, photographs, videos and photo albums. These rules apply to guests and registered users. By using the service, you agree to follow these rules and applicable law.
1. About the service
A single uploader on the home page detects file types and uses the appropriate processing workflow when that feature is available.
- Documents, archives and other files can be shared using links; batch uploads may create a shared folder.
- Photos can be previewed, grouped into albums, and shared through direct URLs, BBCode or HTML when access settings allow.
- Videos can be stored and shared. A player and specialized processing are available only when enabled.
- In My Space, owners manage uploads, albums, access settings and available statistics.
2. Uploading and processing
Permitted formats, file sizes, batch limits and technical conditions depend on the current service settings. Unsafe, damaged or prohibited files may be rejected.
Photos may display a Processing status while thumbnails or other variants are created. Direct links or previews may become available only after processing finishes. Contact support if processing fails.
3. Links, albums and privacy
- Public content can be available to others and, where enabled, displayed in public listings and search engines.
- Unlisted or link-only content is accessible to anyone who has the URL; this is not the same as private storage.
- Private access requires authorization. Do not share sensitive information through public links.
- Where password protection is offered for a file or album, the owner is responsible for strong passwords and safe sharing.
- Embedding photos on external sites using direct URLs, BBCode or HTML generates requests to KompikFiles and may count toward bandwidth limits.
4. Quotas, bandwidth and retention
Storage quotas, maximum upload sizes, batch limits, outgoing bandwidth and retention periods depend on your plan, role and current service configuration. The interface and plan descriptions show applicable limits.
Files and albums may be deleted automatically when retention ends or rules are violated. This service is not a permanent backup: keep your own copies of important data.
Technical limits may change to protect service stability. Circumventing quotas, overloading the service or unauthorized automated bulk uploads is prohibited.
5. Prohibited content and conduct
Do not upload or distribute:
- Content distributed in violation of law or third-party rights, including copyright and related rights.
- Child sexual exploitation material, incitement to violence, terrorism or other unlawful acts.
- Malware, phishing content, stolen credentials or tools used for unauthorized access.
- Personal data, private images or recordings shared without a lawful basis.
- Spam, fraud, threats or material used for harassment.
6. User rights and moderation
You confirm you have the right to store and share what you upload in the chosen access mode. Uploading does not, by itself, transfer ownership of your content to KompikFiles.
Following a substantiated report or a rules violation, the service may restrict, hide or remove content and suspend an account subject to applicable law. Use the report feature where available or contact support.
7. Accounts and technical information
You are responsible for protecting your password, access links and API keys. Do not share keys or use another account without permission.
Account information, IP addresses, browser details, upload times and technical logs may be processed to operate the service, calculate quotas and bandwidth, prevent abuse and diagnose errors. Avoid uploading sensitive data if the selected access mode is insufficient.
8. Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep KompikFiles reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent retention or previews for every file type. Maintenance, outages and retention periods can affect availability.
Each party’s liability is governed by applicable law. Nothing in these rules restricts consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
